The Bible has much to say about the power of words and how, as Christians, our speech should be gracious (Col. 4:6), wholesome (Titus 2:8), and edifying (Eph. 4:29). However, God’s word also reveals the extreme danger of the tongue that has the potential to utterly corrupt our lives (James 3:6) and crush spirits (Prov 15:4). This sermon series gives practical guidance from God’s word on taming our tongues and reveals the seriousness of our words since men will be called to account for every careless word (Matt. 12:36).
